About
Sommer was born in Seoul, South Korea, skipped the big pond when she was adopted at the age of five-and-a-half, and landed in the midwest (on a Michigan dairy farm, to be exact)...in January. In the middle of the midwest winter, in the middle of 25.2 degree weather...you get the point.

Now she lives in sunny Dallas, by way of a three-and-a-half year stop at Franciscan University in Stuebenville where she received a Master's degree in Theology. In 2001, she started singing, touring, and recording with Crispin, a Catholic band. Her musical experiences with them led her to places like World Youth Day (Toronto), EWTN's Backstage, and countless churches across the country.

Sommer's solo career includes the release of her first solo album Back to Home (2004), on which she received assistance from fellow Catholic musician, Curtis Stephan. In 2008, she recorded her second CD - Sacramentum. She has also performed across the country for churches, conferences, retreats, youth rallies, lock-ins, colleges, and coffee houses.

She currently teaches Theology at Bishop Lynch Catholic High School in Dallas, Texas.

Sommer is an avid fan of ultimate frisbee, leisurely Saturday mornings, and Italian food. She is not a fan of computers, big bugs, or milk-related products (excluding cheese).
